    it means that the size of the glass beads has to be the same throughout the entire project

    Buy marbles or go to a craft store (JoAnn’s, Michael’s, A. C. Moore’s) and be sure that you are buying glass, not plastic. Scientific supply houses also sell them as “boiling beads”.
