santrega@sbcglobal.net asked:

Or, can any president be punished for things they did during their presidency that is thought to be criminal? Do they all have immunity as president and after president?

President Bush has over 400 vacation days logged so far during his 6 1/2 year presidency, and working on having more days than the president with the most, reagan. Which is not a crime, just an interesting note. It seems as though being president to Bush is more like a hobby, than a job.

The illegal act I am referring to is his lying to congress to begin the iraq war in the first place. If this were Saddam hussein lying to us and supplying us with false documents in order to legally kill in iraq, he would have had that added to his court case. Shouldn’t president bush be held accountable for his actions as leader, just as we, iraq, and the rest of the world held saddam accountable for his. I admit saddam and bush are completely different, saddam has done worse. But 1 wrong is bad, the same as 40 wrongs.
Actually we the people did not put him in office two times, he only got majority vote once. Al gore got the majority US votes, if you look back into the history, Bush won through electoral college, so get the facts straight.

Actually lets look at the real news flash. President bush said Iraq had WMD, no WMD was found to be there, or having ever been there. Therefore, in saying WMD was there, he in turn LIED. Making me not a liar, thanks :-) I dont support anyone lying, I dont care what party you are in or even if you have no party. But I believe there is a big difference between a lie, and what president bush did. President bush Knowingly took paperwork showing intelligence that was believed to be false by many of his top officials, and passed it off as true to everyone in congress, these papers lead to the eventual war authorization.

NO. He enacted laws so that he and his cronies are protected forever. And none of his aides have to testify before Congress, he refuses to let that happen. What happened to checks and balances?

There are countries that belong to the United Nations that are drafting articles against President Bush and Vice-President Cheney as we type.

Rumsfeld has already been questioned and is set for trial very soon.

    Plenty of sources there.

    Opportunity squandered!

How sad that our leaders wouldn’t do better!

EDIT: Evidently answerers here forget there is a larger world community and many of those players are angry at the audacity and arrogance of this administration.

    Um . . newsflash . . . when you say that “Bush lied” YOU are lying . . .

    Congratulations . . . YOU are a LIAR.

Edit: here are all the pre-war statements all the democrats made about Iraq:

If you call Bush a liar, that means you are are calling them liars too . . . or, like I said, YOU are a LIAR. So which is it? Do you support lying democrats?

I think we should be grateful for the 400 days vacation. Imagine the harm he could have done if he had taken the job seriously enough to show up to work every now and again.

Heres the problem with your whole WMD stories kid… First Congress agreed with bush… so they should be held accountable also, they had the same info, and the same ability to figure out if it was real. Second, Saddam can be seen on tv saying he has weapons of mass destruction prior to our invasion, if someone tells you they’ve got them, you pretty much have to listen. So instead of being a blind follower and blaming one person, have the balls to blame the democrats and republicans who both voted in favor of the war, despite seeing the same proof Bush did. If you want to impeach/ send Bush to jail, you have to want the same thing for every single democrat and republican that voted for it,and thare are a lot of them that did.

P.S. like you said one bad is as bad as 40, dont suppose you remember Clinton interfering in other countries business… ohhh something about somalia… lol. Sorry can’t let you off that easy, now if you attacked the patriot acts he helped bring into law, I’m with you, eventhough the majority of democrats voted for that too… pathetic law, I hate our politicians right now for it. But the WMD’s its solid, Saddam is seen on television bragging about having them, and thats all you really need, is the leader saying they have them, at that point you have every right in the world to believe they have them.
